BMW Charity Pro-Am Announces 2019 Celebrity Lineup.

Greenville, S.C. The BMW Charity Pro-Am Presented by SYNNEX Corporation announced today the roster of celebrities that will be participating in this year’s event which takes places June 6 – 9 at Thornblade Club and The Cliffs Valley.

Joining the tournament for the first time this year is Superbowl champion and former NFL Quarterback, Brett Favre. Favre was the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers and led the team to a victory in Super Bowl XXXI. He was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2016.

Other celebrities participating in this year’s tournament include:

  • NFL player Patrick Peterson
  • Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson
  • Former MLB player Iván (Pudge) Rodríguez
  • Southern Charm star Shep Rose
  • Former MLB player Ozzie Smith
  • Former NFL player Josh Scobee
  • Former MLB player Fred McGriff

“We are thrilled to welcome NFL icon Brett Favre to the Upstate,” said Bob Nitto, president of the BMW Charity Pro-Am Presented by SYNNEX Corporation. “Along with some of our crowd favorites that will be returning, such as Larry the Cable Guy and actor Brian Baumgartner, we’re excited to have Brett Favre for his first visit to the tournament. We’re certain that the fans will show all of the celebrities a warm welcome and we are excited for a great year.”

Other celebrities are still being confirmed and will be announced at a later date. Course rotation information will also be announced closer to the tournament.

Also attending the 2019 tournament will be the No Laying Up (@NoLayingUp) team. The group is comprised of four friends whose philosophy is to engage in smart, nuanced discussion around all things golf.

Other activities taking place during tournament week will include a private ticketed concert on Friday, June 7. American singer-songwriter and musician Edwin McCain will headline the event, which will include food provided by Centerplate. Tickets are $250 per person and may be purchased through South Carolina Charities Director of Sales, Linda Johnson at ljohnson@sccharities.org.
