BMW Charity Pro-Am Announces Return of Executive Women’s Day.

Greenville, S.C. Providing a platform for current and aspiring female business leaders and community influencers to engage in a day of networking, thought-provoking conversations and inspiring presentations, the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation announces the second annual Executive Women’s Day. The Tournament Week event will take place at Furman University’s Melvin and Dollie Younts Conference Center, Monday, May 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“Tournament Week has grown to become synonymous with more than just golf,” said Bob Nitto, President, BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation. “We are proud to have Executive Women’s Day serve as a fantastic example of how we are engaging more members of the community by offering something substantial and valuable off the course as well.”

Keynote speaker will be Lisa Murray, Octagon Worldwide Executive Vice President and Global Chief Marketing Officer. During her 28-year tenure, Murray has helped Octagon grow into a global leader in sports and entertainment marketing. Murray was named to Adweek’s 2017 “Most Powerful Women in Sports”, was included in the Sporting News annual “Power 100” list and was named among the “Top 20 Most Influential Women” in the industry by SportsBusiness Journal.

“I am honored to be a part of Executive Women’s Day and to share my professional experiences and perspective on leadership and women in business,” said Murray. “It’s both positive and productive when women can share their stories with one another, and champion and applaud each other’s success and growth.”

In addition to a dynamic keynote speaker, Executive Women’s Day will include a “Power Panel Discussion”.  The panel will feature Amy Anderson, Vice President of Marketing for The Cliffs; Sheryl Wilkerson, Vice President of Government Affairs for Michelin North America, Inc.; and Olivia Esquivel, Co-Owner of Southern Pressed Juicery. Amy Wood, 7 News WSPA anchor, will return as emcee.

“Executive Women’s Day is one of several women’s events being held at PGA TOUR-sanctioned tournaments across the country,” said Linda Johnson, Director of Sales, BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation. “We are excited to offer this opportunity for female professionals to gather, learn from one another, and leave feeling further empowered.”

The BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation will take place at Thornblade Club, The Furman University Golf Club and The Cliffs Valley May 17-20, 2018.
