Many students spend time with us during the year to get a taste of working life and gain valuable insights into the various areas of work at BMW Group Plant Steyr. During an internship, you will be able to put the theoretical principles you have learned into practice, experience working as a team and discover a lot about people, technology, processes and corporate culture – all of which will be vital qualifications for your professional life later on. 

Requirements:
Our internships are geared towards students enrolled at a university or university of applied sciences.

Application:
All current internship vacancies in the various business sectors can be found in the online job market. It is also always worth submitting a speculative application for an internship via our online tool applicant portal.

Different types of internship:

  • Required internship.
    Your course of study requires you to complete an internship in a company.
  • Voluntary internship.
    Gain work experience outside your course of study.
  • Completion of dissertation.

What does a BMW Group plant look like from the inside? During the summer months (June to September), you can take a look behind the scenes at one of Austria’s largest industrial companies. A summer job provides valuable insights into processes and operations at the BMW Group’s largest engine plant and diesel engine centre of competence.

The application phase for all summer jobs begins in early October, several months before the start date.
 

SUMMER JOBS (PRODUCTION)

Summer jobs entail challenging and interesting activities on the assembly and production lines or in logistics. In this way, you are directly involved in building the “heart” of BMW and MINI cars. 
Designed for: School pupils and students.
Minimum age: 18 (at the start of employment).

The application deadline for summer 2024 has already passed. Applications for summer 2025 can be submitted from autumn 2024.

 

SUMMER JOBS (NON-PRODUCTION)

If you are looking to build on what you have learned at school with practical experience in non-production areas, we also offer summer jobs in commercial and technical fields. 
Designed for: School pupils and students.
Minimum age: 
18 (at the start of employment).

The application deadline for summer 2024 has already passed. Applications for summer 2025 can be submitted from autumn 2024.
