Welcome to the BMW Group plant Eisenach.

Eisenach, in the German state of Thuringia, holds special importance for the BMW Group, being home to the first ever BMW car factory. The very first model to roll off the production line was the BMW 3/15. After German reunification, the BMW Group returned to Eisenach in 1992, establishing press tool engineering and production here as well as a manufacturing facility for sheet metal body parts.

Since its inception, Eisenach has grown into the BMW Group’s largest tooling facility as well as a key component supplier to its production network.

environment statement.

We believe decisive action in the interests of current and future generations is a prerequisite for success. That’s why we take responsibility – for our business success, the environment and society more generally. When it comes to our products, accountability is vital, from the supply chain through to the finished vehicle – but we also want to use our expertise to protect the environment and conserve resources. Cutting-edge technologies and our highly trained employees are helping us.

Our employees.

Without our team, not a single tool or body part would ever leave our factory gates. So, constantly developing their skills and personal strengths is something we see as essential. Against the backdrop of the diverse challenges around the world and highly trained workers, we proactively invest in attracting and developing talent.

We not only reward outstanding performance but also offer fringe benefits such as support for old-age provision. A good work-life balance and health protection are also a given with us. After all, every single employee is a part of BMW and of our future.

Our unique corporate culture.

So, what is it that sets us apart? Us. Working together. Inspiring and supporting each other. It’s this sense of togetherness that shapes our passion for cars, technology and much more besides, allowing us to write a little piece of automotive and motorcycle history every day. It takes a very special corporate culture to come up with groundbreaking innovations and unique products like we do.

We want every one of our colleagues to feel safe, at ease, and able to benefit from equal opportunities and grow with us. That’s why our culture is based on five core values: openness, trust, appreciation, transparency and responsibility. These values underpin our dealings with each other and help us nurture our own unique team spirit.

Responsibility beyond the factory gates.

Together we are strong. That’s why we are actively committed to cultural, social and sports initiatives across the local region. We support the Thuringian sports association ThSV Eisenach, the Wartburg Castle concerts and people with disabilities, to name just a few. What’s more, to strengthen Thuringia’s position as a business location, we actively maintain partnerships with various educational institutions and work closely with Thuringian associations such as Automotive Thüringen e.V., the Erfurt Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and the Association of the Metal and Electrical Industry Thuringia e.V.
