Guadalajara, Jalisco – April 9th, 2018. During Talent Land, -event that brings together young people who are passionate about technology-, BMW Group Plant San Luis Potosi awarded a group of four young people who stood out for achieving the best participation in the BMW Challenge. The contest consisted of programming and activating a sensor vehicle through a mobile application, obeying a route and achieving record time among the approximate 50 participating teams.
BMW Group Plant San Luis Potosi launched the challenge based on three stages: Initially the participants registered on a web page where they listed their life experience and previous projects. Once selected, they received the basis of the challenge during the first day of Talent Land. Additionally, they obtained a tool kit to allow the assembly of the model, which permitted them to deliver the complete project four days later during the event. In the award phase, the jury evaluated the complete programming of the sensors in the autonomous vehicle, the correct route layout, as well as the design and development of the mobile application.
