PARTNER IN THE REGION.
Since the plant opened in 2001, Plant Hams Hall has supported various charities along with education, wildlife, arts and culture projects within the local community and the wider region.
Recycling and reusing.
For a number of years we have worked with The Birmingham Scrapstore, run by the Birmingham PlayCare Network. We donate clean, recycled materials from our plant that can be recycled and re-used for children’s education and play activities.
Nominated and voted for by our employees, the Hams Hall plant, along with other BMW Group locations in the UK, partner with a different charity every two years. Alzheimer's Society is our current charity and we have a programme of fundraising events and activities which are well supported by our employees.
Encouraging an interest in Science, Technology, engineering and maths (STEM), and demonstrating that exciting career opportunities within manufacturing among the younger generation is important.
We periodically run projects with schools and support careers talks and events within our region. Annually we run a programme called Girls Go Technical which aims to encourage more females into technical career paths.
There are a number of opportunities for apprenticeships, graduates and internships at our plant.
