BREAK DISKS.
A piece of Berlin in BMW Group vehicles.
They are the BMW Group’s brake disk manufacturers: A team of approx. 300 employees produces around six million brake disks a year for the BMW Group’s vehicles, an average of approximately 24,000 a day. So every BMW, MINI or Rolls-Royce includes a piece of Berlin. Thanks to significant investments, Spandau’s production has developed into an innovation center for lightweight brake disks. Six ultra-modern, automated production lines produce over 95 different variants of brake discs that weigh anywhere between 6 and 18 kilograms. Final acceptance and quality control are always the responsibility of plant workers themselves.
