Low Carbon Production.

At Plant Rayong, the main source of carbon emissions is the grid electricity.  Since 2020, we have installed Solar PV panels on our roof to generate solar energy, which is then supplied to various areas in the plant.  Starting from Quarter 2 in 2024, the Solar PV panels are capable of generating a maximum of 2.5 GW.  During the hours of 11:00 and 14:00, more than 80% of our energy consumption is powered by green energy.

As of April 2024, we have utilized over 3.5 GWh of solar power in our production plant since 2020.  This has resulted in a reduction of more than 3,700 tons of CO2 emissions, which is equivalent to planting 200,000 trees.

Furthermore, we have collaborated with the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) to purchase renewable energy certificates (iREC) in order to offset our grid electricity consumption and transition towards a low-carbon production process.
