Week of kindness.
BMW GROUP MANUFACTURING THAILAND HOLDS “WEEK OF KINDNESS” PROGRAMME TO REINFORCE COMMITMENT TO SOCIETY AND ENVIRONMENT AND CELEBRATE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF BMW GROUP.
Bangkok. BMW Manufacturing (Thailand) Company Limited reinforced its commitment to social responsibility and celebrated BMW Group’s 100th anniversary in the inaugural “Week of Kindness” programme. Comprising 19 CSR activities and involving more than 420 plant associates, or about 70% of the company’s total workforce, the programme contributed approximately 20,000 hours of community service to Thai society – ranging from donating supplies and necessities to underprivileged children and dog shelters, taking care of elderly, and cleaning up beaches to replanting mangrove forests.
Mr. Jeffrey Gaudiano, Chief Executive Officer of BMW Manufacturing Thailand said, “Every BMW plant associate understands that working at our plant is much more than a job and financial stability because they get the opportunity to embrace a greater sense of purpose and fulfillment by giving back to their community and Thai society. In addition to being the only BMW plant in the region to produce vehicles for BMW, MINI, and BMW Motorrad, our plant has grown into the region’s safest and most flexible automotive manufacturing facility – culminating in the recent transformation into a zero-waste and green plant.”
