Today and in future premium will increasingly be defined about sustainability. For the BMW Group this means, to act responsibly  towards employees and society and use precious resources such as water, energy and materials gentle and efficient in our production (the picture shows an example of sustainable production: four wind turbines in the BMW Group plant in Leipzig).

"Opera for All" in 2015

Approximately 15,000 enthusiastic classic listeners were able to experience within two weeks outstanding classical music evenings free and in the open air thanks to the live opera transmission and the festival concert at "Opera for All". On July 18, headed by the Swiss conductor Philippe Jordan, musical director of the Opéra National de Paris, the Bavarian State Orchestra. . On Marstallplatz Modest Mussorgsky M. rang "Pictures at an Exhibition" and Igor Stravinsky's "The Rite of Spring". On July 31, the performance of Puccini's "Manon Lescaut" was transferred to a 50m2 big screen at the Max-Joseph-Platz. Thomas Gottschalk has led through this "Opera for All" evening for the second time and met among others the soloists to short interviews backstage. Thanks to BMW Munich of entry was as always free.

CINEMA OF ART 2015 under the motto "Science & Fiction"

The second edition of the Art Film festivals ART took place from 22 to 26 April 2015 in Munich under the motto "Science & Fiction" instead. Themes are the latest techniques of narration in films visual artist. They show how technological inventions and concepts of contemporary art today characterize the commercial media industry, from the cinema to the Internet. BMW supports cinema in the art since it was founded in 2013 as a long-term partner and donates also in the next year the second prize of the international competition for young artists under 35 years.

BMW Welt Jazz Award 2015

The prize of 15,000 € Price established himself as a fixture in the jazz field. In addition to the BMW Welt Jazz Award, the BMW Group supports jazz festivals and concerts in various cities in Europe, South America and Asia.
