The event will present digital initiatives and projects from the component production that integrates into BMW Group's Purchasing and Supplier Network department.

Thus, internal and external guests can look forward to exciting keynote speeches and a panel discussion as well as interesting demonstrations on current topics in Component Manufacturing. Furthermore, a Gallery Walk offers the visitors the possibility to inform themselves individually and in detail about the current digitization topics. The departments will present their solutions to the challenges of current times there. Contemporary fields such as Cyber Security, Process Mining, Smart Maintenance, Digital Planning and others form a common thread running through the exhibition. Participants will learn more about the tasks and progress of the BMW Group in the digital transformation.

In the morning, the Digitization Campus Day is open to 100 selected students, external guests, and BMW Group employees interested in current digitalization topics. There they can exchange directly with BMW experts and network with each other.

In the afternoon, the Campus Day on Digitization offers an opportunity for all BMW Group employees to experience the Gallery Walk individually.

Digitalization in the Component Production at the BMW Group.

Digitalization, Industry 4.0, artificial intelligence, blockchain: The BMW Group is currently revolving around data and how to use it for the future of mobility - in compliance terms with DGSVO, of course. The BMW Group is setting global standards in digital transformation beyond the automotive industry and is considered a driver of the digitalization of the production system. It changes day-to-day business in all areas along the entire value chain because the topics of innovation and digitalization have many faces. Nevertheless, all projects have one thing in common: They support the work processes of our employees in the application areas of Smart Data Analytics, Smart Logistics, and Smart Maintenance. The benefits of digitization in these areas include the networking of a wide variety of processes and the transparency of production workflows. It ensures long-term data security while allowing for greater complexity and improving efficiency.

The approaches and solutions offered by the Component Production in the BMW Group can be experienced first-hand at the Digitization Campus Day.
